Obituary of Donovan Jordan Willis, Jr.

Mr. Donovan J. Willis, Jr., 80, of Cohoes, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Teresian House in Albany. His devoted wife Denise was by his side.
Born on September 25, 1944 in Charlotte, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Donovan J. Willis, Sr. and Laurie Ellen (Holloway) Willis.
Mr. Willis was a proud alumnus of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He worked in the banking industry and was employed at various financial institutions throughout his extensive career, retiring from HSBC as their Vice President of Southeast Asia card services.
Mr. Willis was a veteran who served in the United States Army from 1967 until 1969, receiving an honorable discharge for his service.
Survivors include his devoted wife of nearly 18 years, Denise M. (Horan) Willis, whom he married on October 7, 2006 in Latham, NY. Also surviving are his children, Frederick B. Willis and Kelly E. Watt, step-children William H. Morgan IV, Claudia M. Dib and Rachel A. Robinson. In addition, Don is survived by one sister, Barbara W. Hearst and several grandchildren.
A private committal service was held with military honors in the Gerald B.H. Solomon – Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, New York.
