I don't know how far back they even go? I think you took me to school in swaddling one time. I know being giddy with anticipation waiting for you to come babysit in Corliss Park, knowing you just got off work from Woolworths and were bringing me a toy. You took me to Down Town Troy when all the Christmas Lights were out, Georgie Girl was on the radio. I remember you, John and Robert would eat the green vegetables off my plate at dinners. Bumper Pool at the Place. I remember you slapped my hand so hard for playing with matches on the back porch it hurt for two days, but you didn't tell on me. When I didn't have anybody to play with, you always played with me. You taught me so many great card games, and didn't even mind when I cheated. You taught me to dance (which really came in handy) we had the Monster Mash and Johnny Horton. I had a wonderful childhood and I will always be your 13th Birthday Present.

This was sent to me and I've asked my cousin Billy Connors if I could post this here. With his permission here it is. She was very special to all of us. She gathered all the gifts upstairs, got your Father and all the other Santa's dressed, Put all the presents in the bag, read the names of the kids. She was the best. She lived upstairs and I stayed over on weekends, on Saturday nights we would curl up on the big couch and watch the Beverly Hillbillys, Petticott. Junction. We would have a TV dinner, either chicken or turkey. Then watch Mannix, starring Mike Connors, no relation but she'd say he was a cousin. She'd make chocolate soda's, two scoops of chocolate ice creme and fill the glass with RC cola. Best thing ever made, just in time for Chiller Theater, the music and the skull would come on, we'd both hide our eye's. under the covers. Don't think I ever saw the end of any of the movies, just woke up the next morning wrapped in a blanket and a head on a pillow and a warm feeling of love that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Thank you and Love Aunt Mary Jane.

Holly and family, I was so sad to hear of Mary Jane's passing. She was one of the kindest, most loyal people and had a great sense of humor, I ever was blessed to call a friend. The years we worked together at Troy Police were memorable for me in the friendship that Mary Jane and I had. I don't know if she ever got a car, but I did teach her how to drive. We had alot of fun and laughs together and shared some tears too, Holly you were the center of her life. Truly she rests with the angels in heaven, my deepest sympathy to all of you. Maria Behers

I am sorry to hear of MaryJane's passing. I knew her when I was growing up in the same Lansingburgh neighborhood. Years later when my family was struggling to find an assisted living facility for our mother MaryJane stepped in and helped get her in to a great place. Our family will always be grateful for her kindness. Our deepest condolences for your loss. Jim Tully

Holly & Family, I can't begin to express my sadness on hearing of your Mom passing. She wasn't a friend she was a "sister" I have known her my whole life and loved her to pieces. So many memories, too many to even begin to list. There was always a place at our table for MaryJane.. I'm so blessed to have known and loved her and had her as a constant in my life. I will carry her laughter with me, I know she is in a better place. Love & Hugs to the whole family. Donna

My heart is deeply saddened to hear that Mary Jane has past. I was just saying yesterday that I wanted to visit Mary Jane. Sometimes when I laugh I have her laugh. Mary Jane was such a permanent fixture in my home growing up as I was in her home growing up and through my teens. She was like a big sister to me and my saw her as her daughter. When she wasn't babysitting me I was just hanging out with her at her house playing with her nephew little Billy. I remember every year when Santa would visit all the kids at her family Christmas party. As I grew up I then would babysit her beautiful daughter Holly. Holly was the most precious one in Mary Jane's life. Then I remember her showing me pictures if her grand children such happiness came over her face. She was a great mom and Holly a wonderful daughter in return. Mary Jane was there for me when my mom became older and I needed guidance and Mary Jane guided me through her job. I love Mary Jane and she is a part of me always. My heart goes out to all her family. I'll remember her beautiful smile and how she never spoke an unkind word ever. I'm a better person for having her in my life. My big sister my friend. I'm not saying goodbye just till we meet again...my love always Cathy (carangelo) Dessureau
