I knew him as my freshman home room and algebra teacher (1957-58) at St. Peter's Boys High School, Staten Island, New York. He was a fine teacher and kind man. I believe he was transferred after that year. His example moved me to consider joining the Christian Brothers, which I did for a short time several years later. The Christian Brothers have been the most positive influence on my life, aside from my family. May he rest in God's peace. Charlie Heffernan Portsmouth, RI
